Ruby on Rails Developer

Kisko Labs is a small company that is built by and owned by developers. Kisko means Rail in Finnish. They have 15 years of experience building apps and we have built hundreds with Ruby on Rails, which makes them one of the most experienced Rails companies in Finland. They were the organizers of Euruko and back in the day they also started Rails Girls.
Tasks:
  • Work as an advisor to customers, helping them find the path in the digital world
  • Build web, native and hybrid apps
  • There is also plenty to work with and the ability to have an impact in DevOps if that side at all tickles your fancy
Must-have:
  • Preferably minimum 4-5 years of experience in the field/in Rails (but we are also willing to meet with people of a minimum of three years of experience, if they have other capabilities for the role)
  • Maturity and ability to take responsibility for the projects together with the team
  • Experience in implementing backend services with a well-designed REST (or GraphQL) API will be needed to succeed
Nice-to-have:
  • Experience in building apps from scratch (set up etc) is a big advantage
  • Consultancy experience or experience with working with different stakeholders is a big advantage
  • Experience with frontend technologies
  • Mobile background
  • Finnish is an advantage, but we are an English-speaking company. However, English skills need to be fluent and easily understandable for our Finnish customers.
