Toughbyte is building a tech recruitment platform that helps developers find their ideal job.


We're developers ourselves and have started meetups such as MoscowJS and HelsinkiJS. The company has been around for more than five years, profitable since day one and growing steadily. While we have a presence in Moscow and Helsinki, our team is distributed and we'd be happy for you to work with us remotely. 


We're looking for a full-stack Ruby on Rails developer to help us build the platform. We use the latest libraries, do Kanban, use GitHub flow, have CI/CD and make open source contributions.

Tasks:


  • Working on the recruiter, client and candidate web interfaces using Rails 6
  • Integrating the backend with various APIs


Requirements

Must-have:

  • Familiarity with Ruby or JavaScript and interest in web development
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Spoken Russian, since we currently run our daily calls in Russian, although this may change in the near future
  • Decent written English, since we use it for all our internal written comms
  • Product mindset and ability to understand the business requirements

Nice-to-have:

  • Some prior work experience, although it's not a must
  • Some DevOps experience and familiarity with Heroku
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL
  • Spoken English
