Description
Tasks:
- Design and develop production-ready applications and modules on top of the company's SDK (Platforma)
- Build tools and infrastructure that help bioinformaticians automate and scale their NGS workflows
- Work primarily with TypeScript and Tengo (https://tengolang.com/) to create scalable, modular apps
- Collaborate closely with bioinformaticians and scientists to turn their needs into robust software solutions
- Troubleshoot issues related to SDK integration or workflow orchestration
- Work in Agile sprints with a structured backlog and strong engineering processes
- Write clean, well-documented code in line with the platform architecture
Must-have:
- Master’s or higher in CS / Bioinformatics / Computational Biology, with a fully technical academic background (BSc + MSc)
- Strong software engineering background (5+ years), with experience building tools or infrastructure
- Previous experience in bioinformatics or life sciences building platforms, not just pipelines
- Solid understanding of containerized workflows, orchestration tools, and pipeline engines (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake, Airflow)
- Proficiency in Python + at least one other programming language (TypeScript, Go, Rust, Java, etc.)
- Ability to work autonomously and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams
Nice-to-have:
- Experience building developer-facing tools, platforms, or SDKs
