Description
Tasks:
- Design, implement, and operate a container services platform that is secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable, and cost optimized
- Act as a technical lead for Kubernetes technology adoption and migration while working closely with architecture, engineering, operations, and product development teams
- Responsible for identification and improvement of products/services lifecycle as well as execution of initiatives to reduce failure
- Analyze, diagnose, replicate, solve, and resolve technical issues reported by teams using the PaaS and KaaS platforms
- Lead automation of all possible processes and ensure continued good health of pipeline deployments by facilitating the technical design and high-quality coding of IaC solutions
- Responsible for building and maintaining software development technical environments as well as continuous integration and deployment based on cloud application design principles
- Embrace Dev Sec Ops principles and be able to advise and architect security solutions in cooperation with engineering and product teams
Must-have skills:
- Completed higher education in the field of IT, Computer Science, or similar
- 2+ years of experience building and maintaining container platforms such as PAS/TAS (Pivotal Application Service also known as Tanzu application service) PKS/TKGI (Pivotal Kubernetes Service also known as Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated)
- 5+ years of experience in engineering IT infrastructure
- Strong engineering experience, particularly on UNIX/Linux and Windows
- Strong engineering experience with networking, virtualization, and storage technologies
- Strong knowledge of systems monitoring, alerting and analytics using AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar
- Proven experience in building automation, CI/CD ecosystem using Git, Groovy, Docker, Selenium, Jenkins, or similar
- Proven experience with IaC using Terraform and/or Ansible Tower
- Hands-on scripting experience using shell (PowerShell and/or bash), Python, Ruby, or others
- Fluent English
Nice to have skills:
- Strong experience with public cloud technologies a plus
- Experience with IT configuration/management tools and technology - Puppet, Ansible, VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, NSX, NSX-T, etc.
