Partnering with the operations team, you will develop solutions that enable the operations team to efficiently process various sources of trade data. This includes owning the ingestion (FIX drop/copy, SFTP, APIs), transforming it into actionable insights (VB.NET, Python), and storing it (MS SQL).
Partnering with the operations team, you will develop solutions that enable the operations team to efficiently process various sources of trade data. This includes owning the ingestion (FIX drop/copy, SFTP, APIs), transforming it into actionable insights (VB.NET, Python), and storing it (MS SQL).
Tasks:
- Design and implement stored procedures and views in MSSQL
- Building data pipelines, standardizing, and cleansing data
- Define and set best practice standards surrounding data
Must-have:
- Proficiency in Relational database engineering is required; MSSQL is preferred
- Strong general programming background with experience coding in Python
- Be able to succinctly present recommendations at an executive level
- Strong analytic and strategic thinking skills
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Visual Basic .NET is a plus
- Familiarity with the mechanics of securities markets and exchanges is a plus but not required
- Bachelor’s in a technology-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) is required; a Master’s or Ph.D. degree would be ideal
