Description
Tasks:
- Define and drive tech strategy and growth to achieve long-term objectives in the data analytics, product, innovation, and company culture
- Contribute to the development of product roadmap together with other Senior Leadership team members and C-level executives
- Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes work towards WDL’s commercial and public goals
- Support continuous improvement of internal processes and strategy through innovation and development
- Collaborate across the entire organization to design the optimal computer architecture for WDL
- Lead and encourage research into next-generation technologies
- Manage current infrastructure and ensure all internal systems operate securely and effectively
- Take ownership of managing escalations, e.g. from resolving internal and/or external interpersonal and/or business incidents to addressing technical challenges
- Managing all Jira boards across the tech pipelines
- Actively manage and monitor all Cloud (AWS) instances and services
- Actively manage and train junior team members
- Engage closely with the Chief Analytics & Technology Officer (your direct supervisor) and contribute to the company-wide data-product road map.
Must-have:
- 7+ years in developing and implementing the technical strategy to efficiently achieve business goals
- Proven ability to lead in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Excellent leadership skills and hands-on mentality
- Ability to work with a broad range of technical areas and leverage skill-sets within and across different teams
- Strong knowledge of agile development processes and current best practices
- Capacity to guide the development of complex projects that involve data scientists, product owners, and designers.
