Product Owner

Now Linnworks is looking for a committed Product Owner into the Engineering team to lead the development of our subscription & billing system - an integral part of how they engage & transact with their customers; contribute to the development of the internal analytics, and help build integrations between internal and external systems for data reporting purposes.

As a Product Owner, you’ll need lots of energy and a ‘can-do’ attitude, as you’ll need to work with multiple stakeholders across multiple functions - Finance, Sales, Customer Ops - to understand their needs and help them formulate their product needs in a structured way. Linnworks is looking for someone filled with vision and drive, who is excited to lead the development of a product that is mission-critical to the ongoing success of Linnworks.
 
Tasks: 
  • Work collaboratively with the team to build a product that enables our teams to better engage with our customers & delivers clear commercial value to our business
  • Work with internal stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Customer Ops, and Engineering
  • Inputting to the development of long-term product strategy that spans feature development, product packaging, and pricing
  • Contributing to the shorter-term product roadmap, ensuring that it is clearly defined and effectively adopted amongst our product development teams
  • Gathering the evolving needs of our product and ensuring we balance these requirements in a roadmap that is both driving sales, as well as ensuring the long-term success of our product
  • Working as a Product Owner in an agile development team, making sure that features get delivered quickly and efficiently
  • Establishing workflows and processes that allow us to systematically gather, analyze, and action feature requests
  • Championing customer-centricity and playing a key role in creating a team culture that allows us to obsess over customer success
  • Cultivating a detailed understanding of the market, product, product line, and competition, and using this to drive forward the wider business strategy
Must-have: 
  • The ability to understand & plan for complex technical concepts, and articulate these in simple terms
  • A good understanding of non-functional requirements & the ability to establish KPIs that can be continually monitored
  • You have a good understanding of product management methodologies, best practices, and tools, with experience of working with them
  • You are a motivated self-starter with plenty of grit and resilience
  • You are an exceptional problem solver, with a strong ability to process and synthesize information
  • Your approach to product development is centered on customer success
  • You're strong-willed and have the confidence to counter ideas and requests with critical questions
  • Experience in delivering web-based products & solutions is advantageous
  • You are commercially minded: You have a very clear understanding of the role that product plays in driving business success
  • You are ambitious: You are excited at the prospect of contributing to the growth of a fast-paced tech company, and you won’t settle for mediocrity anywhere along the way

The Product Owner must have no less than 3 years of experience in building and managing teams on Scrum & Agile principles.
There are 11 people in the PO team. Each PO works for a separate tech team.
