6G Simulation Engineer

MoVal is a Finnish services company providing high-level IT expertise combined with business area-specific know-how. The company helps with project management, software development and deployment, cloud development etc.
They are seeking to strengthen their cross-functional scrum team with a 6G Simulation Engineer ready to work on their newest 5G Advanced and 6G project in Espoo.

Tasks:
  • Design, simulate and analyze advanced RRM algorithms for current and next-generation mobile wireless networks
  • Research, design and development of massive MIMO beamforming, receiver, scheduler and radio resource management algorithms, using mathematical models and/or large-scale link-level and system-level simulations and/ or prototypes to validate the performance benefits of new design concepts and  algorithms
  • Designing and implementing machine learning algorithms using state-of-the-art machine learning tools besides conventional ones
  • Work in hands-on development of simulations/analysis
Must-have:
  • Research capability (incl. mathematic skills)
  • Domain knowledge: 5G, L2/L1, RAN
  • Experience in making system-level simulators
Nice-to-have:
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and methods, and their applications to wireless networks
  • Ability to drive the technical priorities for the group and mentor team members
