Audio Programmer

Description

Our client is a free to play PC game studio headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. It is formed by a seasoned team of industry veterans, who have a calling to build not only games that will have a global impact but also an organisation that is sustainable and good. They make games for a global market and their team reflects this - from the very start they came together from Finland, Sweden, France, Czech Republic, Belarus and Russia. 

Now they are looking for an Audio Programmer to join their core game development team in Helsinki, Finland to work on their first title – a tactical multiplayer shooter. 
 
In this role, you will be working on implementing necessary hooks between gameplay code and audio middleware to allow sound designers to create immersive experiences. Besides, you'll be working on systems such as audio occlusion, in-game dialogue, shooting and impact effects and UI sounds.

Requirements

Must have skills: 

  • Proficient in C++
  • Experience in implementing audio in games (gameplay effects, music systems, dialogue systems, audio prioritization…)
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a dedication to improving your craft
  • At least basic knowledge of Unreal Engine 4

Good to have skills: 

  • Worked with Audiokinetic Wwise
  • Worked on real-time multiplayer games
  • Shipped a game or two
