Right now they are looking to hire a Backend Developer to develop the technical foundation of our career development platform. You would be joining an ambitious and high-performing team of professionals with experience from working in fast-growing startups in Europe, Africa, and the US.

- Develop our technical foundation, including APIs, algorithms, database architecture/queries, and AWS-based server infrastructure
- Plan the application architecture, technical specifications, and sprint tasks together with technical product leadership
- Coordinate tasks and support the work of 2-3 more junior developers together with the Head of Engineering
Must-have skills:
- Education BSc or above
- 5+ years of industry experience in a backend engineering role, with a mastery of Ruby on Rails
- Solid knowledge of backend development fundamentals. This includes API design, OOP/ functional design patterns, testing / CI, relational databases, and app performance optimisation.
- Experience in maintaining or working with cloud server infrastructure (preferably AWS)
