Description
Tasks:
- Collaborating with the team to understand requirements and constraints
- Developing and designing CAD models and drawings of electromechanical components of the
magnetic bearing system - Researching and selecting appropriate cables, wires, connectors, feedthroughs, grommets, and
cable management components from supplier catalogs - Creating and maintaining accurate bills of materials (BOM) and part lists
- Evaluating specifications against requirements (current capacity, voltage rating, environmental
resistance, flexibility), maintaining approved vendor and component libraries - Creating 3D models of cables, harnesses, and routing paths.
Must-have:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, or similar programs
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering concepts
- Knowledge and experience of cable routing and fixation
- Experience with electrical devices and feedthrough selection
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles
- Researching components from manufacturer catalogs and databases
- Good written and spoken English skills
