Description
Tasks:
- Design, develop, and optimize control systems for active magnetic bearings
- Develop control algorithms and implement them using programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, or other relevant software
- Perform system tests, diagnostics, and iterative improvements based on data analysis to refine control performance
- Work with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, and software engineers) to integrate control systems into new and existing equipment
- Document control strategies, testing procedures, and system changes while providing training and support to engineering and maintenance teams
Must-have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field such as robotics and aerospace
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a role involving control engineering
- Proficiency in modeling software such as MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong understanding of mechanical vibrations, resonance phenomena, and methods for vibration analysis and damping
- Basic understanding of power electronics
- Strong background in control theory
- Ability to design feedback controllers
- Experience working with systems that operate on a millisecond timescale (unlike process industry systems, which are much slower)
- Results-oriented and can-do attitude
 
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of model-based control techniques and rotor dynamics
- Experience in Drive Control or inverter systems
- Aerospace or electrical engineering background
