Firmware Team Lead

nami is a new Artificial Intelligence of Things startup based in Singapore that aims to bring peace of mind to home occupants through digital monitoring. Their AI sensing devices are backed by discerning machine learning algorithms, eschewing the risk and invasion of privacy that live feeds and recordings from indoor security cameras and voice assistants could pose.
nami.ai is looking for an experienced Firmware Team Lead to help drive a future of DIY home security.

Tasks:
  • Lead the development of embedded software applications with a focus on reliability and security
  • Work closely with backend and mobile teams to architect the system and the solutions 
  • Contribute to the roadmap definition and give feedback to product owners 
  • Build and manage the team of embedded engineers
  • Refactor and reduce bug count to zero
Must-have:
  • Seasoned in Firmware and Embedded Development with at least of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Striving to write correct and efficient C / C++
  • Knowledgeable about embedded development with RTOS and Espressif's SDK
  • Experienced in building and delivering IoT consumer products
  • Having proven record of building and managing teams of embedded engineers
  • Passionate about producing high quality products
  • A team player who knows how to have fun
  • Able to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal)
Nice-to-have:
  • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Have an eye towards the future of IoT, home security and home automation
  • Interested in software architecture and design patterns
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Experience with automated unit testing
