Description
Now they are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join their team in Berlin.
Tasks:
- Shape the strategy of the Software team in collaboration with the Software Product Lead
- Support the eight engineers in the Software Engineering team, as they work across the whole platform
- Hire and onboard new mobile, web and backend engineers for the team when needed, and assist with continuously improving the interview process
- Work closely with the Principal Engineer to define the technology choices and strategy
- Clear roadblocks and enable the team to perform their best work
- Help to define OKRS, measure performance, and support team member's development
- Report to the co-founder CPO (Chief Product Officer)
Must-have:
- Hands-on technical experience developing innovative software products in a fast-moving remote-first environment
- At least 6 years of total experience, 2+ years of experience as a lead of an international team of 3-5 people, helping them to grow by setting goals and providing feedback, and want to continue developing as a people leader
- Understanding how to build a team where people feel engaged and motivated, and are excited by the prospect of leading a team where some developers may be more technically experienced than yourself
- Experience in organizing workshops and facilitating group discussions
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; you use data and metrics to help the team to stay focused on the most impactful projects
- Intuitively know how to zoom out and think strategically
- Experience in managing international teams
- Great communication and presentation skills
