Tasks:
  • Work largely independently and be responsible for the whole range of activities when implementing a new feature
  • You should be able to look at a problem from the user's perspective and discuss abstract concepts with fellow developers
  • think-cell expects each of their developers to do architecture, design, implementation, customer feedback and bug fixing, rather than splitting these activities between several people. think-cell thus puts everyone in control of their own work
  • At think-cell, there are no deadlines and no scheduled meetings. A feature is ready to be released when you are convinced that you have implemented the best possible solution. Meetings take place as needed, with only the people who are actually involved being required to be present. At any time in the process, ideas, suggestions and criticism from anybody in the hierarchy is welcome and is seriously considered. Your ideas are welcome, even if they mean that think-cell has to change a lot of code to make things better
  • think-cell has published several scientific articles in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Graphics and they will encourage you to do the same. They sponsor visits to conferences and have close relationships with universities and research institutes in the U.S. and Germany
Must-have:
  • Demonstrated and reliable work experience using C++ in professional or personal projects 
  • Excellent proficiency in C++
  • Ability to create complex well-structured algorithms 
  • A University Degree 
  • A fresh and creative problem-solving approach
  • Fluent English

Interview process:
  1. Intro call with Toughbyte
  2. Online test: usually shouldn't take more than 3-4 hours to complete. think-cell will give you a timeframe of 9 hours to submit your solution, so that you have some flexibility
  3. Technical interview (1-4 hours) with CTO Arno, CEO Markus, and/or a role-related colleague. During the video call, you will be assigned programming tasks in C++
  4. Final video interview:  2-4 hours for the interview and be prepared to solve role-related problems and some case questions

The company prefers to discuss it in later stages with the candidate directly based on his expectations, experience, and expertise. After 1 year of working, the rise to 130 k eur annually gross is guaranteed.
