Our client provides the industry’s most scalable software solutions for data management and analytics. They help organizations operationalize and monetize their data through insights that drive action. Their integrated platform for business intelligence (BI), analytics, data integration, and data quality, combined with proven expertise, delivers value faster, with less risk. 

Now they are looking for the Pre-Sales Cloud Solution Architect. You will be responsible for working with customers and prospects, to gather their business needs and translate them into a technical solution using the company's Cloud Platform. You must have competency in leading client requirements gathering (business and technical) in support of architecting, designing and overall technical value selling of cloud-based solutions. You also have to be passionate about technology and in particular, leveraging core cloud computing service models to drive incremental business value to customer e.g. accelerated time to value and time to market. They are planning to grow this team significantly within the next 2 years, so you'll get a chance to become a Team Lead. 

Requirements

Must have skills:

  • A post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is required
  • 5+ years as a Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer or Sales Consultant. Experience working with enterprise cloud solutions as part of a different role within an organization will also be considered. 
  • Flexibility to travel (will have to travel within the EU on average twice a month)
  • Experience with AWS 
  • Experience with Python and JavaScript
  • Understanding of techniques for scaling applications in a cloud environment
  • Knowledge in OO based programming languages (Java, etc.)
  • Knowledge in RDBMS and NoSQL
  • Knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology and DevOps

Good to have skills: 

  • AWS Solutions Architect Certification 
  • Azure Certification 
  • Familiarity with AI, ML and related tools

Responsibilities: 

  • 20% (or less) hands-on, 80% cloud solution architecture
  • Provide subject matter expertise on cloud computing best practices and how the company's Cloud Platform solution supports those practices.
  • Develop and present complex multi-tier cloud applications on leading cloud service provider platforms e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, and demonstrating customer use-case compliance via proof of technology engagements.
  • Oversee solution architecture and design for customer deployments and migrations
  • Oversee installation, configuration, deployment and tuning of customer solutions as an expert resource
  • Collaborate with the technical sales organization to design and deliver dynamic product demonstrations and lab environments
  • Develop training and related content to enhance cloud skills in the Professional Services organization
