Remote Lead QA Engineer

Remote
UK-based technology company focused on research in AI and the development of its proprietary machine learning technologies and software products for industries. It's software helps industrial companies address the following tasks: predictive maintenance, quality control, and industrial processes optimization. Its software is based on its own machine learning technologies for industrial time series analysis.
Tasks:
  • Participate in the development and support of the automation test platform
  • Communication with BA, PO, Account/Setup managers, internal development teams regarding requirements clarifications and quality expectations
  • Defect reporting: report and re-test defects according to generally accepted best practices and internal policies
  • Test Activities Planning: active participation in refinement and planning sessions, providing valuable feedback and accurate estimates for testing tasks
  • QA internal knowledge base updating
  • Participate in Scrum activities
  • Research and development of new QA technologies and tools
Must-have:
  • 3+ years of experience in testing of web/server-side applications
  • Experience in setting up and improving QA team workflows 
  • Clear understanding of client-server architecture and its testing principles
  • Clear understanding of testing techniques and testing types
  • Experienced in creating and maintaining test documentation (check-lists, test cases, bug tracking system, etc.)
  • Proficiency with any test framework, especially written in JavaScript/TypeScript/Python
  • Experience in writing automation scripts
  • Ability to find bugs and attentiveness to details
  • Experienced with developer tools for investigating browser problems
  • Experience in API testing (Postman, Swagger, Fiddler)
  • English – upper-intermediate/advanced
Nice-to-have:
  • Experience working with Jira and Confluence
  • Understanding Agile (Scrum) methodologies
  • Understanding of git workflows
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Java, Python, Angular, and Kubernetes
