Description
The end client is looking for Data scientist with industry/forestry related experience. They are developing an overarching web-based solution with features such as customer management, task management, trade, services sales, and measurement certification. The application, an internal tool used for sales and offering services, has about 400 users and integrates with several services, including SAP, CRM, asset management applications, and GeoServer.
The development environment includes Jira & Confluence for agile work management and documentation, with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and JFrog Artifactory for DevOps. The UI is built with JavaScript, running on Azure, utilizing Vue.JS, Bootstrap v5, Scss, Webpack, and OpenLayers for GIS features. Some services the application uses are developed and maintained in-house, leveraging technologies like Azure App Service, Java, Directus CMS, OpenLayers, and Chromium for various functionalities. The Azure implementation uses Terraform for infrastructure setup, is published as a Static Web App with AD authentication, and employs Azure API Management to interface with numerous web and map services.
