Remote React Developer

Smarp is a leading employee communication, advocacy and engagement SaaS provider with operations in Helsinki, Atlanta and London with more than 70 full-time team members.
At the moment the company is looking for a Remote React Developer to be one of the masterminds in Frontend, with the possibility to coach other frontend developers.

  • Be one of the masterminds in Frontend, with the possibility to coach other frontend developers
  • Use latest technologies, and contribute to them if they are open source
  • Help the UX team with designs
Must have skills: 
  • Experience as a senior developer. The ideal candidate has been building enterprise applications in his past
  • Skilled in JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS
  • Know and/or have experience working with design systems, Redux, Webpack, and asset-building process
  • Fluent English
Nice to have skills: 
  • They have AngularJS > React migration ongoing. So, AngularJS experience would be appreciated too but lack of it, isn't a deal-breaker since all new work is done with React
  • Computer Science Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • HTML5 and SCSS
  • Experience working in a Scrum environment
  • UI designing experience and UX knowledge
Interview process:
  • Intro call with Toughbyte
  • Test assignment
  • Screening call with HR (20-30mins)
  • Tech interview with the hiring manager, including practical cases (1,5 hour) 
The position is contract, which will be renewed every 6 months. Thus, being a contractor, you have to handle your taxes in the country you are obliged to do so.
