Systems Engineer

Lodgify is a fast-growing startup focused on building vacation rental software that enables property owners and managers to independently manage and market their business online. An international team of more than 240 people and 50 different nationalities in the heart of Barcelona, which has been featured twice in Wired's 100 Hottest European startups list
Right now the team is looking for a talented System Engineer to join the infrastructure squad.

Tasks:
  • Maintaining complex information systems, applications and operating systems
  • Improving the team's local and cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS) including Kubernetes clusters and data services
  • Enhancing company's configuration management stack with Pulumi and Ansible
  • Ensuring fulfilment of SLAs for all of Lodgify's services
  • Introducing new technologies and enhancing the security of the team's infrastructure
  • Extending technical documentation
  • Participate in the infrastructure team on-call rotation
Must-have:
  • Confident programming skills (eg. Python, C#, Java, Go)
  • At least some basic experience with AWS/GCP
  • Provisioning operating systems and applications experience (ideally through code)
  • Virtualisation technologies experience
  • Good networking knowledge including Firewalls, VPN and DNS
  • Configuration management experience (eg. Pulumi, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Data systems knowledge (eg. SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ)
Nice-to-have:
  • Experience working and implementing CI/CDs
  • Certification or degree in Network administration
  • Experience with managing Kubernetes clusters
