Senior Concept Artist

Ringtail Interactive is the parent company of businesses within the games industry. The team is composed of a group of passionate and experienced game enthusiasts from the likes of DICE, Paradox, Rovio, King, InnoGames, and Atlantis Games. The team has developed and soft-launched their first game, focusing on the ability to enjoy a fun and immersive mobile game both from the sofa, as well as out in the streets. Second game production is around the corner and the team is growing in preparation.
Tasks:
  • Working closely with the Art Director, building up the concept of characters, environments, and props
  • Coming in on the pre-production level, visualizing ideas and visions to create the game world
Must-have:
  • Experience with the full cycle of concept artist work
  • Experience with stylized artworks (Casual & Mid core) rather than realistic art
  • Not afraid of trying new art style
  • Full understanding of mobile-focused 3D game pipeline as a concept artist
  • Basic understanding of using 3D tools for scene layout and concept. Using Blender is a big plus
  • Expert artist of lighting and color theory
  • Expert artist with a full understanding of good action lines, character design, and costume design
  • Expert level of software skills like Photoshop, Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint, Painter, etc
Nice-to-have:
  • Minimum 7 years of mobile game experience with multiple different projects
  • Minimum understanding of Unity3D as a concept artist
  • Willing to learn new skills, and adopt new software quick
  • Start-up game development studio experience / mobile games experience
