Remote DevOps Engineer

Affluent is a technology company that is modernizing the affiliate marketing industry by delivering powerful, highly needed tools. They offer tools for affiliate marketing agencies, advertisers, and publishers.
Right now they are looking for the first dedicated DevOps Engineer to join their rapidly growing team.

Affluent is hosted entirely on GCP where they operate several Kubernetes clusters on development and production. All of their DevOps (infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, releases, monitoring, logging, etc) is currently managed by their Head of Engineering. So they need an experienced professional to help take this over and to help them scale in this area. You will have broad ownership over everything DevOps at the company.

Stack: GCP, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira.

Tasks:
  • Strategize and plan company's development DevOps technology, process, and practice
  • Administer Kubernetes Clusters including deployment, maintenance, monitoring, upgrading, and optimizing
  • Improve and maintain CI/CD processes
  • Improve and maintain monitoring solutions
  • Large-scale infrastructure and performance tuning
  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
Must-have:
  • 5+ years of professional IT/Engineering experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a dedicated DevOps Engineer
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Sentry
  • A high level of motivation and curiosity
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication
Nice-to-have:
  • Database experience with MySQL and Snowflake
  • Coding experience in Bash/Shell and preferably also Node.js
