Solr Search Engineer

Tasks:
  • Focusing on search engine development powering the AlphaSense product
  • Working with a range of critical domains including performance, search relevancy, reliability and scalability
Must-have skills:
  • 5+ years of proven experience 
  • Years of exposure with large distributed database systems
  • Strong experience with Solr
  • Proven track record of working in search, particularly in search technologies they use: Apache Solr and SolrCloud, Apache Lucene, Apache Zookeeper
  • Experience in sharding and replication, failover, fault tolerance, and high availability techniques, preferably with Solr/Elastic Collections
  • Command of the Java ecosystem and familiarity with Kubernetes
  • Advanced English
Nice-to-have skills:
  • Any additional experience in search is an advantage
