Developer Relations Engineer

Klevu creates an intelligent site search solution designed to help eCommerce businesses increase onsite sales and improve the customer online shopping experience. The company produces mass amounts of data on a daily basis. Combined with shopping data being directly delivered to their backend systems with access to shopping catalogues containing both the structured attributes and unstructured product descriptions, they have a wealth of data with immense opportunity to extract valuable insights and improve search accuracy.
Tasks:
  • Be the face of the company to the developer community that uses the products 
  • Build relationships and be the bridge between the company and the developer communities via various channels 
  • Collaborate with developers at events and coding workshops, both online and offline, and advocate for developers interests within the company
  • Talk at developer focussed events, both big and small about company's products 
  • Be hands-on by writing sample code and client libraries to make it easier for developers to use the product
  • Work with internal product engineering teams to improve the product by providing feedback from developers, reviewing API contracts, client libraries, etc
Must-have:
  • 2+ years of experience in developer relations or a similar role at a product company
  • Previous Engineering experience (preferably in a SaaS company) 
  • Hands-on experience in JavaScript and related libraries and frameworks such as React, Vue.js etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English 
  • Passionate about talking and discussing technology with developers
Nice-to-have:
  • Experience in SaaS startup 
  • Experience in eCommerce industry 
  • Published technical articles or given technical presentations to a wider audience
