Senior Technical 3D Artist

Pixel Pie is an up-and-coming mobile game studio based in Tel Aviv, founded by industry veterans and backed by leading gaming companies and investors. The studio is working on a new game, based on a massively popular casual mechanic with a multiplayer twist.

Recently, they have decided to open a small hub near Utrecht, the Netherlands and want to expand their team in this location.
Tasks:
  • Unity structure, asset, shader, scripting, and particle systems implementation with a keen eye for high-quality visual and artistic output using minimal resources given mobile platform constraints across multiple device profiles
  • Collaboration with the multiple disciplines across the team from art to development to prototype and develop the team's artistic vision by setting up prefabs and logic maintaining folder structures and pipelines and assisting artists in asset implementation
  • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of tooling and systems within Unity and DCC tools
  • Shader creation using Shadergraph and HLSL with occasional modeling and texturing, etc.
Must-have:
  • Portfolio / Reel exhibiting the required skills and responsibilities
  • 5 years+ of Unity experience
  • Proficienсy with modeling and texture creation software like 3DS Max, Blender, Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and/or similar
  • 2+ mobile games shipped or worked on in sufficient capacity as Technical 3D Artist / Lead 3D Artist
  • Common scripting language experience like C#, HLSL, Python, MelScript, MaxScript
  • Intermediate GitHub experience
Nice-to-have:
  •  VFX / Motion Graphics / 2D UI experience to assist VFX / Animation / UI
